Mickey, a native New Yorker who graduated from Trinity-Pawling Prep School and Ithica College, began his professional career as a teacher in New York State; and quickly found his true passion as he and his wife began investing in Real Estate. Mickey combined these two passions, teaching and property ownership, into a career of educating others on how they can better their current life situation through the ownership of Real Estate. After a few years of doing both, Mickey decided to take his personal experience in Real Estate and make the move to become a Full-Time Realtor and moved his family to Virginia. Over his career, Mickey has not only bought, sold and managed over 120 personal residences and rental properties; but has built numerous residential and commercial properties, all while being one of Lynchburg’s Top Realtors year after year.
The Mickey Herzing Team of Lynchburg, VA was created in August 2013, by Broker and Realtor, Mickey Herzing, as a means to keep up with the continued expansion of his real estate business. The above and beyond work ethic which Mickey exemplifies to all of his clients, has allowed him to remain a staple in the Annual Top Agents List in the Lynchburg Area year after year.
In August 2013, Mickey brought in lifelong Lynchburg native, Jake Winston, to handle much of his Marketing and Transactional work. Jake attended Paul Munro Elementary, James River Day School and Virginia Episcopal School in town and his background in Marketing from James Madison University allowed him to quickly adapt to the Real Estate Industry and provide Mickey with the level of help to continue expanding his business at the rate he had been. Jake received his Real Estate License in January of 2014 and has sold alongside Mickey ever since in addition to handling the Team’s Marketing and Transaction Work Full-Time.
Over the past 12 years, as The Mickey Herzing Team’s success continued to grow at an alarming rate, they regularly found themselves in positions where change was necessary to continue the quality level of expertise and attention to detail, they had been known for. Whether the changes to the team were for expansion purposes - adding new agents to help keep up with the high level of demand, or for reasons of efficiency - buying office space in Wyndhurst to be more conveniently located to everything Real Estate related; Mickey’s Top Priority for the Team was always to grow, but never at the expense of the superior level of customer service his clients had become accustomed to. The Mickey Herzing Team is constantly looking for ways to further benefit their past, current and future clients by utilizing the most up to date technologies, business strategies and market research.
